Care Instructions
All these suits go on easy with a little water and conditioner mixed together. The design of these suits is one of a clinging secure fit. This is what helps keep you warm and enjoy the ergonomic cuts incorporated into them. As with all wetsuits they should be rinsed thoroughly with fresh water after every use and periodically washed with mild soap to kill any lingering bacteria (if you aren’t using the suit at least once a week then it should be cleaned w/ detergent after every use), turning them inside out and hanging to dry out of direct sunlight is recommended…
As with other freediving wetsuits (open cell), these suits need to be lubricated prior to entry. Simply mixing water with a small portion of hair conditioner works well. Applying to all interior surfaces helps to get into them . I personally avoid putting any conditioner mix on the pants above the inseam area. This helps the fit to be snug where the two parts come together.
I always clean my gear in a barrel after use (30 gal.)…I also apply a little mild detergent to the inside and outside of my wetsuit…I rinse it thoroughly then I hang it to dry out of direct sunlight inside and out…care like this will add a lot of extra life to this valuable piece of gear…some area’s of the country have water that is dirtier than others…in area’s that are known to have less than perfect water conditions I recommend that you use an anti bacterial detergent after every use…especially Southern California during the wet season…and parts of the east coast year round…
Important Note
The design of these suits is one of a clinging secure fit. This is what helps keep you warm and enjoy the ergonomic cuts incorporated into them. Putting on this type of wetsuit “inside out” to check the fit is not always so accurate, especially in the thicker rubbers. Putting them on wet and properly conditioned is always the best.
The size chart is very accurate. If you need any help ascertaining your size please contact me.
Open cell wetsuits require a little extra caution in their handling…avoid grabbing the rubber with fingernails.
